Niu Huang Qing Xin Wan 牛黄清心丸

Function:

Clear heat, resolves toxins, opens orifices, invigorates blood, calms shen. Also for toxic heat fever accompanying strept throat, tooth abscess, sinus or ear infection, skin boils and carbuncles. Use to treat sequelae of stroke, to help calm a stroke patient who is agitated, with heat signs, such as red face, easily angered, rapid pulse.

Ingredients:

Ginseng (Ren Shen) 10%, Saiga (Ling Yang Jiao) 9%, Bovis (Niu Huang) 8%, Cinnamomum (Rou Gui) 8%, Equus Asinum (A Jiao) 7%, Angelica(Dang Gui) 6%, Ligustici (Chaun Xiong) 6%, Ledebouriellae (Fang Feng) 6%, Rhinoceri (Xi Jiao) 5% (this ingredient currently is use synthetic subsititution), Glycyrrhizae (Gan Cao) 5%, Paeonia (Bai Shao) 5%, Moschus (She Xiang) 5% (this ingredient currently is use synthetic subsititution), Honey 20%

Caution PROHIBITED DURING PREGNANCY.

Dosage: Adults: One 3-gram honey pill, 2 times a day. Children less than 1 yr: one-half honey pill, 2 times a day.
