Comman name: Sweet Wormwod

Herbs that Clear and Relieve SummerheatKidney,
Liver, Gallbladder

Dosage: 1-3 qian.Leaves are most potent part of the plant.
For raw herb should not be decocted for more than
10 minutes.

Action:
· Clears summer-heat. For fever with no sweating, chest constriction, heavy head, tired limbs, nausea.
· Clears Yin deficient fire from blood deficiency or resulting from depletion due to febrile disease.
· Clears Shaoyang disorders. For alternating chills and fever, e.g. malaria.

Indication:
. Malaria
. Febrile diseases
. Tidal fever, loe graded fever
. Summer heat stroke
Contra-indication: for a person with diarrhea

Combination:
1. combine with Huo Xiang for Summerheat
1b. If nausea with yin xu, combine with Zhu Ru.
2. Yin Xu fire, combine with Qing Jiao and Di Gu Pi

Caution:
Contraindindicated if postpartum with blood xu or cold from Spleen or Stomach xu. Don’t use with Sheng Di Huang or Dang Gui.
