Bao Ying Dan 保婴丹

Function:
Dispels wind, drains fire, transforms phlegm, settles the liver and extinguishes wind, subdues yang, calms shen, opens the orifices, relieves spasm. Use for a wide range of infantile disorders due to heat and phlegm, including fever, fever with spasm or convulsion, common cold, cough, runny or thick nasal discharge, irritability, listlessness, and night crying.

Ingredients:
Ariasama(Dan Nan Xing) 14.5%, Buthus (Quan Xie) 12%, Bombyx (Jiang Can) 10%, Uncaria (Gou Teng) 10%, Ledebouriella (Fang Feng) 10%, Mentha (Bo He) 8%, Margarita (Zhen Zhu) 8%, Cicada (Chan Tui) 7%, Typhonium (Bai Fu Zi) 7%, Bambusae (Zhu Huang) 7%, Borneol (Bing Pian) 3%, Zingiberis (Gan Jiang) 2%, Succinum (Hu Po) 1.5%

Caution:
Due to the inclusion of Buthus Quan Xie, Borneol Bing Pian, and Bovis Niu Huang, use should be limited to 1 or 2 days at a time.

Packing: Boxes of ten small boxes, each containing one vial of powder.

Dosage: Powder form: Each vial of powder contains 0.3 grams of the medicine. Child is less than 1 month: Use 0.1 gram, 2 or 3 times a day. Child is 1 month to 1 yr.: Use 0.3 grams, 2 or 3 times per day.
Child is more than I yr.: Increase the dose accordingly, but no greater than 0.9 grams, 2 or 3 times per day.

Pill form: Each pill contains 0.5 grams of the medicine. Child is more than 1 yr.: 1 pill, 3 times a day. Child is less than 1 yr.: Decrease the dose proportionately
