Common Name: Rhubarb
Function:
To eliminate pathogenic heat. Purgative. To invigorate blood circulation and eliminate stasis. To treat jaundice. Detoxication. Used externally for burns, carbuncles, furuncle, and suppurative skin diseases. Acute jaundice, acute appendicitis, incomplete intestinal obstruction, dysmenorrhea and amenorrhea. Fever with constiation and abdominal fullness. Hematemesis and epistaxis associated with excessive heat in the blood.
Taste and Property: Bitter and cold
Therapeutic Meridian: Liver, spleen, stomach and large intestine
