CTIONS AND INDICATIONS :This drug can be used to destroy parasites and remove food stagnancy and can be used in the treatment of ascariasis, enterobiasis, etc. It is especially suitable for children owing to its sweet and agreeable taste.For amind case,therapeutic effect can be obtained by chewing the parched drug. For a servere case with many roundworms, the drug is often used in combination with Semen Arecae, Cortex Meliae, Fructus Mume, etc. In treating malnutrition of children, the drug is often used in combinatin wit Semen Arecae, Rhzoma Picrorhizae, Radix Aucklandiae,etc.

ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE :5-10g of the drug can be used in decoction. The drug can also be made into pill or powder. For adults, the parched drug is chewed, 10–20 pieces are taken for one dose. For children, the number of pieces to be taken is 1.5 multiplied by the age but the total number should not exceed 20 pieces.
