Taste and Property: Sour, astringent and warm

Meridian: Kidney and large intestine

Function: Anti-diarrhea,anthelmintic, use for intestinal taeniasis and ascariasis, chronic diarrhea and dysentary.

Contra- indication: For a person with excess fire and other pathogenic factors.

Dosage: 3-5 gm.

【別名】石榴殼。
【基源】 石榴科植物石榴的乾燥果皮。
【性味】 味酸微澀，性溫。
【歸經】 入大腸經。
【功效】驅蟲，固濇，治下痢止瀉等收斂作用。
【主治】久瀉，久痢，便血，脫肛，崩漏，帶下，蚘厥腹痛。

【應用】1.含有鞣質成分，它與粘膜接觸後，能與組織蛋白結合凝固於粘膜表面形成保護層，有止瀉、止血等作用。2.在體外試驗對綠膿桿菌、弗氏痢疾桿菌、傷寒桿菌皆有抗菌作用，對多種皮膚真菌也有不同程度的抑制作用，治療細菌性痢疾仍有較好的效果。3.在驅蟲方面可治療蛔蟲、蟲、蟯蟲之感染，可與檳榔配伍。

【用量 0.2~1.5。
【禁忌】 有實邪者須慎用。
