Function:

To promote the flow of spleen and stomach Qi, and remove food stagnation. To dispel the stagnancy of water or dampness. Use for edema, abdominal distension, and constipation.

Therapeutic Meridian: Spleen, stomach, large and small intestines.

Taste and Property: Pungent, slightly warm

Contra-indication: for a person of weak constitution

Dosage: 3-9 gm.
